27 April - Heart of the Wolds Sportive
The second edition of this Driffield based event offers three rides for cyclists of all abilities - The Langtoft Loop (23 miles / 37km),   The Classic (64 miles / 100km), and The Challenge (86 miles / 134km). The post ride pie and glass of Maillot Jaune event ale gies down a treat.

5-6 July - Tour de France Grand Depart
Although not on the Yorkshire Wolds, Stage 2 (Sun 6 July) of the world’s biggest bike race is starting from nearby York on its way to Sheffield 124 miles (200km) later. 

Following the Way of the Roses cycle route for 18 miles from Pocklington via Stamford Bridge (National Route 66) will lead you right to York Minster where the riders will pass. 

12-13 July 2014 - Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge
With this year’s Grand Depart of the Tour de France taking place in Yorkshire, the YWCC is being run in an anti-clockwise direction for the first time (just as the Tour alternates which way it goes each year). 

This 2 day event follows the 146 miles (235km) Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route and includes an overnight camp halfway round at Hutton Cranswick, with Malton & Norton as the start / finish point.

20 July - Big G Cyclosportive
The seventh running of this popular Beverley based ‘Grimpeur des Wolds’ event offers fully paint-marked routes for four different distances – 14.3 miles (23km), 38.5 miles (62km), 64 miles (103km) and 95 miles (153km). 650 riders took part last year.

Sky Rides
Free Sky Rides (and women only Breeze rides) take place across the East Riding of Yorkshire each summer.

CTC Club Rides
The CTC groups for Ryedale and East Yorkshire organize rides on which visitors are welcome.
