It's easy to access cycle routes in the Yorkshire Wolds. If flying into Manchester Airport just catch the train from the airport station to York or Malton. From York you can cycle out to meet the Yorkshire Wolds cycle route at Pocklington (18 miles) using the well-signed Way of the Roses route starting at York Minster. If you need to hire bikes, York has plenty of options (see our Cycle Shops page or Scoot Cycling). Malton is also a good start point for the Yorkshire Wolds cycle route less than a mile from the route. If you want to stay overnight in either York or Malton there are plenty of excellent cycle friendly options available on our Accommodation Page.

If arriving by ferry in Hull, the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route is an approx.10 mile (16km) cycle ride to Beverley where you can join the route. It is also possible to travel to Beverley by train.
